Windows Print Driver Installation Instructions

The following instructions detail the installation of the Xerox^® iGen3^® printer driver for Microsoft^® Windows XP^®. Drivers are also available for Windows 2000^® 7KB ZIP and Windows Server 2003^® 7KB ZIP. Installation instructions for those drivers can be found on the Microsoft Web site.

Download the iGen3 Print Driver 7KB ZIP to your desktop.
Extract the files on your desktop.
Select the “ Window Start” Button at the bottom left of your desktop. The Menu Bar will open.
Select “Control Panel” from the options and double click. The Control Panel window will open.
Open the “Printers and Fax” folder by double-clicking on printer’s icon. Double-click the “Add Printer” icon.
The Add Printer Wizard will open. Select the “Next” button.
Select the Local printer option. Do not select “Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer.” Select the “Next” button.
Select the “FILE: (Print to File)” option for the port and click “Next” button
Select “Xerox” from the Manufacturer list. Select the “Have Disk…” button.
Locate the iGen3 PPD, by selecting the “Browse” button.
In the Locate File dialogue go to your desktop and select “xr2kig01.inf”. Select the “Open” button.
Once you selected the PPD. Install from Disk Window will open. Select “OK” button.
You will be returned the the wizard. Select the “Next” Button.
Select “No” as the option for default printer.
It is your option to share or not to share the printer. Select the “Next” button.
Select “No” in the Print Test Page dialogue. Select the “Next” button.
Select the “Finish” button.
Your printer driver should be installed.
